hari isnin lepas (11.6.2012) merupakan hari pertama practical training saye selame 2 bulan..actually saye memang xpernah buat practical..mase degree dulu memang xbuat sebab x diwajibkan..since saye amek bidang lain untuk master degree ni (b4 this amek ekonomi, la ni amek library science) definitely i'm hoping something new (of course!!) plus interesting..maklomla..masih 'berjinak2' dengan this course..ngeh3..memandangkan saye amek library science, sudah tentulah practical di library..=)
bercerite pasal tempat practical, saye ade apply di beberape tempat such as KL Library, Muzium Kesenian Islam & Petronas Resource Centre..unfortunately, ade je halangan+dugaan+rintangan nak dapatkan feedback dari pihak terbabit..so..last resort, apply library UIA..ehm..many thanks to kak Sharan (my department clerk) yg banyak susah payah tolong settlekan hal2 yg berkaitan practical training saye..=)
as for last week activities, ktorang firstly ditempatkan di Acquisition Division for two weeks..oppss..lupe nak gtau..there are five of us yg dapat practical kt sini..saye, Yana, abang Syafrizal and other two foreign students, Siad n Fatimah..=)
acquisition division ni dibahagi kepade 2 sub-divisions, Monograph n Serials..monograph ni macam buku2 la senang cerite (including non-Arabic n Arabic materials)..at this division we had learned how to create orders on monograph, approve the orders n receive it, make payment etc..everything is all about 'briefing'..tapi it's quite interesting to know how this division works..
the best part of the whole week is when we do some project or hands on activities at Gift and Exchange sub-division..kebetulan system kt library tengah upgrade so the remaining of 3 days ktorang 'berkampung' kt situ to see how books being repaired and bound..bukan setakat tengok je, ktorang berpeluang mempelajari teknik2 menjilid buku+do some creative works..according the person incharge, En. Razak, ilmu untuk mempelajari teknik2 yg ktorang belajar 2 memang xkan dapat di mana2 university libraries..hanya di library UIA sahaja diorang berkongsi ilmu dengan mereka yg practical di sini (how lucky we are!!)
